The Golden Window Problem:
In the 72-hours following a non-fatal opioid overdose, there is a golden window when patients have a dramatically heightened risk of death due to a fatal overdose and may be more receptive to recovery pathways. First responders in the golden window, today, do not have a technology platform to facilitate detection and care planning.
Solution:
Goldie Health is an overdose prevention platform that helps agencies detect more individuals at risk of overdosing and provide them with a low-friction plan of care that is tailored specifically for them.
Goldie helps with detection, engagement, and conversion:
- Detection - Many agencies are only detecting a small portion of the individuals at risk. This is primarily driven by a lack of integrations with other systems and low friction community referral channels which results in a very small net to capture individuals. Increasing detection increases engagement, reduces overdoses, and ultimately saves lives.
- Engagement - Many individuals have social determinants that impact their recovery. For instance, a co-pay of only a few dollars in many cases results in individuals not having access to necessary meds such as Buprenorphine. Removing these barriers also increases engagement, reduces overdoses, and lives saved.
- Conversion – Every path to recovery is unique. It’s important to have individualized paths for each individual based on their specific needs versus predetermined plans which dictate when an individual’s path ends and how much help they need along the way.
